Urban Decay - Alice Through The Looking Glass...

So as we all know Urban Decay have done it again and have created an insane collection. This time it's an Alice in Wonderland themed eye shadow palette and 5 limited edition lipsticks. This has come around because of the new Alice in Wonderland film that is hitting the big screens at the end of May. What more could you want, the company that produces the most amazing eye shadow palettes teaming up with Disney?! Every girls dream! However, this isn't the first time the teams have joined forces, 6 years ago the first Alice in Wonderland themed collection was brought out and sold out almost immediately so I can imagine with how pretty this ones packing is and the quality of the products the same will happen again.

I was lucky enough to be invited down to the Urban Decay store in Wigan's Grand Arcade shopping centre to try out the collection before it was released for sale. I was greeted by the beautiful Olivia who would be showing me the products and using them to create a look on myself and by the lovely Karen who is the manager there. I fell in love from the moment I saw the stand and you will also when you see the pictures below!

The final look using the 'Alice through the looking glass' collection created by Olivia Phoenix

Now, onto the collection!

As you can see the packaging for this collection is everything you would expect it to be and more! Quirky and beautiful, just like the story of Alice in Wonderland, it really is a special makeup buy and one that will look forever pretty on display on your desk! The outside of the palette is trippy and very colourful, then when you lift up the lid inside is a beautiful mirror with the classic quote 'We're all mad here' and a 3D pop up butterfly, this alone would look good propped up on show within your makeup collection! You then pull out a drawer to reveal your 20 brand new colours of eyeshadow which have themed names to do with the story. There is a good mixture of neutrals, pastels, deep and the more adventurous  bright shades!

ALL 20 shades are unique and limited edition. They are pigment infused which means you will have a stronger colour and not a wishy washy finish, they will literally go onto your eye and look as bright as they do in the palette! They are all also talc free to help with smooth pigment diffusion which makes it super easy to blend these beautiful eyeshadows to create the perfect look!

Fitting in with the collaboration each column in the palette represents a well loved character from the film. The order is:

Alice
The Mad Hatter
Mirana ( The White Queen)
Iracebeth ( The Red Queen)
Time ( Part human part clock)

Also in the collection there are the 5 lipsticks in the most to die for colourful packaging which again would look amazing on display in your makeup collection, they sure will stand out!
The 5 lipsticks are a mixture of metallic and matte finishes and are all new shades! Some are everyday wearable and others are for when you're feeling more adventurous...which can be everyday also. They are really soft and glide on perfectly.
The shades are:

Alice ( A gold toned sheer with bit of shimmer)
Mirana ( One of the metallic ones in a burgundy shade)
Iracabeth ( Scarlet shade with a matte finish)
Time ( A blue/grey tone in a metallic finish)
Mad Hatter ( Lavender/lilac shade with a metallic finish)

Launching in stores tomorrow, May 5th!

The palette retails at £43 which I think is AMAZING for what you're getting, 20 unique shades, beautiful packaging and it also includes the Vice 4 brush which is super easy to blend with.

The lipsticks retail at £16 each and I believe theres a shade in there for everybody!

My trip to Urban Decay Wigan was so lovely, I would highly recommend if you live close by or are ever in the area you pop down and I guarantee you won't be disappointed. The staff are very friendly and gave me such a warm welcome. They're located at the end of The Grand Arcade shopping centre in Debenhams on the first floor to the right when you walk in!
If you're wanting to get your hands on this collection I suggest heading down to the Wigan store or any near you as quick as possible from the launch day.

If you're local to Wigan, starting tomorrow (5th may) until Saturday (7th May) they are having The Mad Hatter's Tea Party with makeup masterclasses. I shall be heading down again for this and I can't wait to see the girls in store again as they really were so lovely!

I love the bright shades used on my eyes fading into the darker tones which I think is a perfect representation of what Alice in Wonderland is all about and I also have 'Mirana" lipstick from the collection on my lips. This collection is really one too get your hands on and attended the launches if you can as they look like they're going to be ALOT of fun!

Makeup Revolution...

I think I have a new makeup brand that is in my top 5! I'm pretty sure most of you will have heard of Makeup Revolution and I had also, but I had never tried them myself properly. After my brothers beautiful girlfriend did my makeup the other night and used these palettes I had to go and buy them and I am shocked with how much I love them! They are such good prices also so they're easily affordable. I've never been one to play around with eyeshadows but having these has made me want to experiment more and more! All of them are super pigmented and such a lovely mix of colours and shades! One thing I've always wanted to try was coloured eyebrows and when I saw the turquoise shade in one of the palettes it was the perfect excuse! Above is my look I created using all 4 of the items listed below.

Salvation Palette Pleasuredome
Never ever did I think I'd be buying something that has such bright colours but here I am, and I love it. I can't imagine ever using the pink/purple shade as it would clash with my hair but it does look beautiful! My favourites on this palette are Sell It By The Hour and You Really Can't Afford MeThese are the two I used on my eyebrows, I used the lighter one all over then the darker at the ends then I topped it off with some old black mascara over the top like I usually do after finishing my eyebrows just to make the hairs more apparent.  Buy Here -£4

Salvation Palette Waiting
This is a classic one that I feel everybody should own is it has such beautiful everyday shades. I used this palette on my eyes starting off with We Love You all over as a base and in the inner of my eye to give it a little highlight, then I went in with Scary Conversation which I LOVE it is a gold shade but it isn't too strong so it gives a really nice shimmer to your eye, I also used this under my eye. Next up I blended in a little bit of Shut My Eyes and Stupid H... and finished it off with Life is Short in the outer corners and slightly underneath my waterline on the bottom. Buy Here -£4

Ultra Contour Palette
For a contour palette this is pretty good for the price you're paying. I have only really used two shades on this, the second along on the top line which reminds me of banana powder. I used this under my eyes, on the bridge of my nose and on my forehead over where I had used my lighter cream colour when contour and highlighting. The second shade I used is the second along on the bottom line, you can't really see on the photo but this isn't too bronzed it has more of a grey tone which is good for creating the shadows. I used this to contour my cheeks, nose and forehead. I did use a different branded contour palette along with this as I like to use different shades to build up the look and the other ones in this palette just didn't look right with my skin but I would still recommend buying it as you get two lovely highlighters included on the right.  Buy Here -£8

Blush Palette Golden Sugar
I've never really been one for blush but I LOVE this palette. The 4 shades I have been using are the top left, and the first three on the bottom row. I use them all built up for highlighting my cheek bones and my nose and the top left colour is extremely pigmented so you have to be careful not to apply too much! I applied them with my Spectrum Collections fan brush which lets just the right amount of product go onto your face! I would highly recommend this as it has such a variation of colours and for £6 you're getting an incredible deal!
Buy Here -£6

Have you got any favourites from Makeup Revolution?! If so I'd love to hear your recommendations as I want to try more from this brand!

Inspiration for my eyebrows came from the beautiful Megan and Erika!

Mermaid Dreams, The Glam Clam by Spectrum Collections...

Early on in 2015 I was privileged enough to work with this company. I had previously seen their posts Instagram and thought their brushes were such a cool concept of making daily make-up a little more exciting with the colours on their makeup brushes. Then when I was contacted about working with them on a mermaid shoot I was beyond excited! Spectrum Collections is owned by two sisters and I have to say they are two of the loveliest ladies I have met and really do deserve all the success they are getting! The brushes are now being used by numerous celebrities and are extremely popular online with their stock flying off the shelves so quickly each time. All of the brushes are vegan and cruelty free so everyone can enjoy them without guilt! I got my hands on the GlamClam and fell in love straight away, I use them everyday and they haven't lost any of their softness or beauty. Also make sure to check out their new collection, Siren...these are the most colourful yet and I can't wait to see what they bring out in the future!

The Glam Clam

The brushes come in this clam shell clutch which I have seen many people using as a regular clutch on a night out as well as storing their beautiful brushes. It has a lilac faux leather material on the outside with rose gold detailing and a bright pink felty fabric on the inside. I don't keep my brushes in this as I use them daily but I do have this propped up on my shelving because it looks too god damn cute!

My brushes fibres aren't as bright as they used to be as you will be able to see from the photos but this can easily be sorted with a deep clean so don't worry! The brushes are beautiful, with a turquoise body and rose gold detailing they are a certain eye catcher. And the brush fibres are lilac to pink ombre!

The Glam Clam includes 10 brushes:

Flat Top Buffer
Large Domed Powder
Small Angled Blush
Buffing Concealer
Large Fluffy Shader
Tall Tapered Blender
Small Angled Blender
Angled Brow
Lip Liner
Fine Detailer

The Large Domed Powder, Small Angled Brush and the Small Angled Blender are my three favourites, but all of them are great and such an incredible quality, they are worth every penny. They currently have a sale on also which I have just placed a new order on!
